Green Roof Workshop
|
Class Description: Help plant a green roof on top of a previously constructed Straw Bale Tool Shed and learn how green roofs reduce urban storm water runoff, improve air quality, and create another area for wildlife. There will be a demonstration on impervious surfaces. Participants will learn how to build a minature model green roof that students can reproduce in class and the Straw Bale design and building process will be explained to the particpants. Straw Bale construction can lend itself to building greenhouses or other structures. Particpants may discuss design possibilities with an architect. (If it is raining, call 387-5377 to see if we need to postpone.)**Please bring a sack lunch |
