| Using Outdoor Classrooms to teach Common Core and Arkansas State Frameworks | |||
| Class Description: *Note this is a 2-day Workshop - June 12 and 13. **Bring Sack lunch of money for food delivery. Teachers will learn how Common Core objectives for both literacy and mathematics can be tied to instruction in the outdoor classrooms. Additionally, Arkansas State Frameworks and, upon adoption, the Next Generation Science Standards concepts and practices will be taught in a real world setting provided by the outdoor classroom. Teacher professional development linking the various standards to strategies for teaching in the outdoors will positively impact classroom practice and allow teachers to more effectively utilize this unique instructional setting for a variety of content areas. | |||
