Class Description: This session will connect the New Art and Science of Teaching instructional strategies with the instructional concepts outlined in the book Kids Come in All Languages, chapter 6, Checks into Learning. Knowledge of these two texts will not be necessary as we will combine the concepts in the two resources into a meaningful day of learning and instructional planning. Come prepared to enhance a lesson or build a new one using the instructional strategies you learn in this professional development.
